A Trading Lesson I learned From A Man Without Patience

One day I was driving to an appointment downtown and I seen something that reminded me of trading. Just as I parked my car, I saw a man in the corner of my eye that had just dropped his briefcase. It hit the pavement and papers were flying everywhere. The man was running this way and that way, scurrying around and grabbed all but one paper. Just as he approached the last paper a gust of wind came out of no where and blew the paper away.

He hurried over to where it landed and again it blew away. He quickly ran to retrieve the last paper but again it was blown out from under him. Now you could clearly see the man was upset. He threw his hand in the air and made a gesture as if he was saying to the paper "forget about you I'm in a hurry."

He began to walk away and it took him about 20 seconds to get to the door of the building. Guess what, the moment he gave up, the wind stopped. I watch his paper stay in the same position and it didn't move for another couple of minutes. If only he would of tried one more time he would have easily retrieve the paper.

Trading is extremely difficult and there will be times when you will fell like this man. You just want to say I'm never going to catch this paper, I might as well give up. When you feel like this remember this story and know that you are closer than you think. Your success may be only a week, a month , or even one short year away. Don't be too quick to give up on your dream! Try one more time, and if it does not work out I'm asking you to try one more time. You will be amazed at what you can do when you refuse to give up.
